I have been telling you for some time that the US is in far greater debt than the 13.4 trillion dollars the government is telling us we are in debt. I just got the following information from an Atlas Shrugs newsletter.

THE actual figure of the US' national debt is much higher than the official sum of $US13.4 trillion ($14.3 trillion) given by the Congressional Budget Office, according to analysts cited on Sunday by the New York Post.

Mr Kotlikoff and Mr Moylan agree US national debt is much more than the official $US13.4 trillion number, but they disagree over how to add up the exact number. Mr Kotlikoff says the debt is actually $US200 trillion. Mr Moylan says the number is likely about $US60 trillion.

That is close to the figure quoted by David Walker, the US Comptroller General from 1998 to 2008.

He launched a campaign to convince Americans that the federal spending and debt is a greater threat than terrorism. But whichever figure is accurate, all three agree that the problem has worsened in the last few years.

The number I have been consistently seeing is about 65 trillion dollars but I would not be surprised to find out we are either 200 trillion dollars in debt or quickly getting there because they still have not found all of the hidden debt, especially the extra hidden in state governments.

BTW, GDP or cash flow is only a little over 16 trillion dollars...oops! And you think this country isn't already dead and just still kicking? We can't pay the 65 trillion dollars our beloved government has run up and they want to spend more. There isn't enough combined wealth on the planet to pay just the US debt forget about the debt owed by the rest of the planet. This entire planet is BROKE many times over!!!!
