The Weather

Over the last forty years of my life, I have watched the weather change radically. At first it improved and then began to get worse. How and why are the questions I wish to address.

When I was growing up in New Mexico during the 1950's, we went through a seven year drought that was almost as bad as the drought of the 1930's. There were terrible dust storms, short and very intense thunderstorms, short and very intense blizzards, and all sorts of insect infestations. The 1960's and 1970's were definitely better but the 1980's were great. As a matter of fact, from the late 1970's up to the very beginning of the 1990's were the wettest years ever recorded in New Mexico. In the early 1990's, the southwest and much of the rest of the nation was returned to drought conditions and the weather has been radically changing and getting worse since.

The number and intensity of both hurricanes and tornado's have been increasing every year. We recently had to add another intensity level for tornado's. It was only a few years ago that the highest level identifier for tornado's was level five. We have sense had level six tornado's. Increasingly, we are having massive flooding, blizzards, ice storms, droughts, warm winters, hurricanes, and tornado's. With these have been coming increasing numbers of wild fires and declining water reserves. The amount of damage and number of deaths have also been increasing. We found out about El Nino only to find his sister La Nina and are now being threatened by their parent, La Mama.

In conjunction with the weather problems, both seismic and volcanization have both been on the increase. Damage and deaths from these are rapidly climbing.

Why?

Scientifically, we try to explain the weather phenomenon as being caused by certain types of pollutants and the activities of man. But why would man carelessly pollute his environment especially when we already knew about most of these problems? The real truth is that we didn't want to spend the money to prevent or clean up our polluntants. We wanted to put that money in our greedy little pockets. Even today, with us being hit by the problems caused by our pollutants, we refuse to stop or even diminish our polluting because of the love of money. Our rate of pollution generation is increasing. We call this greed.

It is interesting that God says that,"The love of money is the root of all evil." We have proved it and continue to do so.

Basically, we decided that we did not need God or His laws and ran off to do our own thing in accordance with the wisdom of man. Interestingly, God says,"The wisdom of the world is foolishness to God," and that,"The wisdom of God is foolishness to man." We have and are still proving that one also. More and more, I am learning that there are also scientific reasons for His laws.

The big problem here is that the anti-god people are having a little fit of denial about the existence of the being, God. They don't want to believe He exists so they wont have to feel that they must obey His laws and can do as they please. They foolishly refuse to even consider the question,"What if He does exist?"

They prefer to play butt ostrich and go charging through life doing as they please. Even when what they are doing is causing severe problems and deaths, they remain in their little fit of denial. They refuse to even consider that He does exist.

La Mama

Coming to you soon, courtesy of the foolishness of man, is another weather beast we have named La Mama. We think it is going to be similar to but much worse than El Nino. It is supposed to be at least 3 to 5 times worse than El Nino. El Nino only lasted a few years. La Mama is expected to last at least 15 to 20 years. El Nino seriously effected weather around the world, did a tremendous amount of damage, and took a lot of lives. The truth is, we don't know what La Mama will do. We do know that it isn't going to be nice and we do know that it will be the worst weather experienced by man for at least a few hundred years. After all, El Nino and La Nina have provided us with the worst weather recorded in over 100 years. We know that La Mama is going to be at least 3 to 5 times worse than El Nino and La Nina.

I can't even begin to imagine the potential damage of such a weather system. Every ecosystem on this planet could be permanently and radically changed. Desserts could become eroded waste lands, forests and jungles could become desserts or swamps. From what we have seen of El Nino, the storms will be very frequent and very violent. Summers will be dry with a few very violent floods that will destroy water resources. Winters will be warm with a few very violent and deadly blizzards and ice storms. Already dwindling aquifers will cease to exist. Many people will have to relocate to other areas only to endure the problems faced in those areas.

Few escaped the hardships of El Nino and La Nina. None will escape the hardships of La Mama.

God?

Maybe this being, God really does exist. Our problems parallel the judgments listed in the Old Testament of the Bible. Those judgments continued to get worse until those people turned back to God and His laws. Maybe we should consider the same. It can't hurt and can only help. Think about it.
